GROTON, Conn. - Any child who will be 4 on or before Jan. 1, 2021 is encouraged to be screened for Pre-Kindergarten. The screening process is used to determine eligibility. Children scoring within a target range will be selected for the program.
The goal of this program is to provide eligible children with an opportunity to acquire appropriate readiness skills needed for a successful kindergarten experience.
Children with strong skills in the areas of readiness, language, and socialization, act as peer role models in the Integrated Special Needs Preschool program. Children with eligible screening scores are selected by a lottery process for the program. Participants for this program must be at least 3 years old on or before the screening date.
Screenings are by appointment only. Call (860) 572-2155 for an appointment. Screening dates for both programs will take place Oct. 26 and 29. Children must be 3 years old or older on or before the screening date.
