GROTON, Conn. - The Groton Senior Center is open to anyone age 55 and over to participate in all its programs and events. You do not have to be a Groton resident to use the center. Membership in “Club 55” is open to those eligible to use the center for a nominal dues payment of $5 per year. Club 55 meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. August’s meeting date is the 13th and September’s date is the 10th. Stop by the Groton Senior Center to learn the benefits of becoming a Club 55 member!

Club 55’s final summer event is its popular Annual Beach Party that will be held at the Groton Senior Center, 102 Newtown Road in Groton, Aug. 20, with festivities beginning at 5 p.m. Join us and your friends for baked ham with pineapple, sweet and sour chicken, corn on the cob, sweet potatoes, green beans, and apple dumplings. Jose Paulo returns for your entertainment. Door prizes are included. This event is open to the public however, registration is required prior to Aug. 16 with payment of $10 for Club 55 members and $15 for non-members. Stop by the Senior Center or call (860) 441-6785 to make your reservations.

Club 55 membership renewals are due by Sept. 1. Stop by the Senior Center during August to renew your membership or to join the Club! Remember, dues are only $5 per year and provides you with so very much.
