BBC Foundation awards scholarship to SUBASE resident

GROTON, Conn. - NSB New London Homes is one of more than 30 communities whose residents have received funding, totaling more than $120,000 given across the United States.

NSB New London Homes is pleased to announce that one of its residents, Joseph Lastraglio, has received a scholarship for the 2019/2020 academic year through Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation.

The scholarship will aid Joseph in his pursuit of a degree in child psychology. The annual scholarship program is open to residents throughout Balfour Beatty Communities’ residential portfolio, including 55 military housing communities throughout the United States.

The Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation scholarship program awards academic scholarships to residents living in an owned and managed Balfour Beatty Communities community who are attending, or plan to attend, an accredited higher education or technical institution. Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to community involvement. This year, Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation awarded academic scholarships totaling more than $120,000 for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation is a non-profit organization which principally focuses on supporting the post-secondary education goals of residents who live in communities owned and managed by Balfour Beatty Communities, LLC.
